'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Swansea In The Shop Window

A number of players have caught the eye of various clubs including Angel Rangel, Ferrie Bodde, Jason Scotland, Dorus De Vries, Andy Robinson and Darren Pratley.

The clubs rise to the summit of League 1 while still having games in hand and also the open attacking game we play has brought our players to the forefront.

Neil Warnock was apparently at the Liberty Stadium recently to watch right back Angel Rangel.

However, Martinez has said:

'We haven't had any approaches for the players yet.

It's great when you have that kind of attention and you are getting a lot of people in the world of football coming to the Liberty. Its a big compliment.

There is no pressure for us to sell. We are in a fantastic financial situation as a club, so we don't need to sell anyone.'

If we are to stand any chance of keeping half of the players that have

een mentioned above come the summer we must achieve promotion to the Championship.

A lot of those players could and some would say should be playing at a higher level than League 1 and we must be able to provide them with that.

Unfortunately it's not only our players in the shop window. Talk Sport are today reporting that former Newcastle owner Sir John Hall has recommended Martinez to current owner Mike Ashley!!!
