Scotland Wins Player Of The Month

Scotland Wins Player Of The Month

Jason Scotland has won the Powerade Player of the month for the first time in his career.

The Striker has been on fine form despite facing criticism from fans over his performances. The former St Johnstone player scored a wonderful brace against Northampton Town and the crucial winner against Leeds United.

It is that run of form that has seen the striker become Swansea City's top goalscorer with 13 goals in all competitions. Chris Kamara of the awards panel was quick to praise the powerful forward.

He said

'''I know a few clubs looked at signing Jason Scotland while he was still at St Johnstone last season."

Roberto Martinez took a chance and brought him to Swansea last summer and that decision has paid dividends in recent weeks. ""Jason is a strong, quick centre forward with a real eye for goal and is one of the main reasons why the Swans are currently setting the pace in League 1"

Scotland faced stiff competition from Doncaster Rovers Defender Adam Lockwood , terriers StrikersAndy Booth of Huddersfield Walsall striker Tommy Mooney.

Good effort well done to him I say. Willy Guret was league 2 player of the month also.

aye, well done to Mr. Scotland, overly critisized sometimes I think but there's no doubting he's a goal scorer

Well done Jason! He's got goals both playing up front on his own and with first touch as a substitute this month. He's on form, let's hope he can keep it going.
