68% Want Us To Sign Parker

In our recent poll, 68% of you voted that you would like the Swans to sign Blackpool striker Keigan Parker.

There had been strong speculation leading up to the opening of the transfer window on January 1st that he had agreed terms with the Swans, while the two clubs discussed a transfer fee.

Roberto Martinez revealed he was a player they were looking at signing, but recent news suggests he could be joining Barnsley instead.

Parker was thought to have been a backup signing if they failed to bring Warren Feeney here permenantly.

The Northern Irish striker has returned to Cardiff following his loan spell. A fee for the player was agreed between the rival clubs before his loan began, but we await news on whether he can agree and sign personal terms with us.

I think he would be a good addition to the squad despite what has been said by Blackpool fans. But I'm not sure about the 200k price tag.

I think the asking fee just reflects the crazy situation on the English transfer market. RM will bring more players from Scottish league (e.g. van Zanten) or abroad (Holland, Spain, maybe Scandinavia).
