A bidding war has erupted for the services of Swansea City's out of favour midfielder Ian Craney. Three clubs are thought to have expressed an interest in signing securing his services .
The player has returned from this loan spell at former club Accrington Stanley and is poised to have discussions with Roberto Martinez over his future at the club. After this successful loan spell with the Frazer Eagle stadium The former Altringham player has made 13 appearances for the league two outfit and has scored 3 goals.
His influence at the heart of the Stanley midfield has not gone unnoticed by Stanley manager John Coleman who has made it no secret of his intentions to re sign the midfielder.
Coleman's plans may be scuppered by Darren Ferguson's Peterborough united who are also admirers of Craney.
The London Road club had tried unsuccessfully tried to sign the player over the summer. However the deal was days from completion but collapsed over failure to agree personal terms . The leauge two club have rekindled their interest in the player and have entered the race to sign the former England Semi Professional international .
Craney's position at the club has become increasingly under threat in recent months with Swansea City showing a run of form that would find it difficult for the player to force his way back into contention.
Singed last January after an initial loan spell he has failed to secure a place in Roberto Martinez Squad and has only featured three times for Swansea City so far this term two appearances came in the Carling Cup.
Stanley manager John Coleman does expect a deal to be done by the end of the week.
He Told The Lancashire Telegraph
| "A deal hasn't been completed at the moment, but we're hoping to have something done by the weekend." |
