Grayson No Deal For Parker Reached

Blackpool manager Simon Grayson has flatly denied a deal for Keigan Parker has been reached with Swansea City despite mounting speculation over the strikers future.

Swansea will face stiff competition should Parker leave Bloomfeild road as Nottingham Forest have been thought to have made a bid for the player.

Out of form Parker has made 24 appearances for the Seasiders this term but has failed to score despite leading the assists and goal attempts table at the Lancashire club.

The deal could be struck for his services should a agreement for Cardiff City striker Warren Feeney not be brokered .

The Northern Ireland international saw his chances of a permanent deal scuppered through injury.

Talks to ascertain Feeney's future are ongoing but by no means is the deal clear cut.

Keigan Parker striker has not be a stranger to controversy at his time at Blackpool as he was charged and convicted of criminal damage after intimidating and causing damaged to a door at the premisses of Desires a massage parlour on Cookson Street.

With the players contract runing out at the end of the season Grayson faces the prospect of loosing the player on a free transfer should a deal in January not be secured.

Grayson Spoke to the Blackpool Gazette:

"No deal has been done."

I am not going to say that he is going or staying. He is out of contract in the summer but he is part of a squad over the Christmas period, a time when people will get opportunities"

As the transfer window opens on January 1st it will not be long to find out if Martinez includes Parker in the Swansea ranks.
