Way Relishes Swansea Return

Swansea City midfielder Darren Way is relishing his return to Swansea after his Loan spell at Yeovil.

The midfielder was resigned on loan by Yeovil manager Russell Slade after Swansea agreed to loan the player out to improve his match fitness.

Way has been beset by a shin injury which has seen him make only 14 appearances for the club since former manager Kenny Jackett signed the player from Yeovil Town for a fee of £150,000.

His successful loan spell at Huish Park has seen the midfielder return to the form that saw Jackett secure the services of the player back in 2005.

Yeovil ran out 2-1 winners over Doncaster Rovers at the weekend which saw the loanee score the opening goal.

Despite his successful loan spell Way feels he still has a point to prove at Swansea when he returns to the club on the club on new years day.

He told The BBC Somerset:

''I am contracted to Swansea and as far as I am concerned I am going back there on 1 January.'

I have come here, given my all and now I need to see where it takes me. I have unfinished work to do at Swansea and I've got to push myself into the team.'

The former Norwich trainee will have to fight for his place in Roberto Martinez's squad as Dutchman Ferrie Bodde and Darren Pratley have produced the kind of form that makes them the preferred central midfield partnership.

Would like to see what he is really capable of in a Swansea shirt, encouraging to see him doing well with Yeovil though!
