Swansea Linked With Defender

Swansea City have been linked again with St Mirren defender David Van Zanten.

The 25 year-old was speculated as a possible transfer back in the Summer and it is thought that Martinez is hoping to sign him in the January transfer window.

His contract with the Scottish Premier League side expires at the end of the current season and has attracted the interest of a number of other League One clubs.

Zanten has made 172 appearances for St Mirren and has featured in 16 games this term.

Swansea fans have been calling for Martinez to sign a new defender and hopefully he'll deliver our wishes shortly after new year.

Lawrence and Austin particularly struggled this week against non-league side Horsham and the signs are certainly there that our back four needs improvement this season.

He's a right back though isn't he? We have enough cover there, its CB's we need now!
