Swans Duo Enjoy U21 France Win

Swansea City duo Joe Allen and Shaun MacDonald both started for Wales under-21s last night as they beat France 4-2 at Ninian Park.

Ched Evans was the hero as he scored a hatrick to guide us to a memorable win over the French.

"MacDonald showed great confidence and some really intelligent runs and passes."

We went ahead just before the break but our lead didn't last long as France scored twice and were 2-1 up after 76 minutes.

We fought back however with 2 goals in three minutes and Evans got his third in injury time with another penalty.

MacDonald was on target for Wales' last game and win at home to Bosnia, in which we won 4-0.

In their Euro 2008 qualifying group, Wales are now 3rd, just 2 points behind Romania and France who both have 11 points. We also have 2 games in hand over France and 1 over Romania.

Our 2 lads certainly played well. With 5 other under 21s in the Wales first team squad, we could well qualify for the finals.

Macdonald is a good player. He's not a regular for you though?
