Swans Fume Over Dissallowed Goal

Roberto Martinez was fuming after the referee ruled out a late equaliser last night against Huddersfield.

The Terriers took the lead early in the second half and the Swans looked as if they had scored an equaliser when Monk headed the ball in from a corner.

The referee ruled it out however for pushing in the box, but Martinez didn't notice anything wrong with it and said:

''I've watched it time and time again and it was a good goal.

''I don't want to come in here and say it's going to level up over the course of the season because it doesn't seem as if that's going to happen.

''We have had quite a few decisions go against us already but nothing's gone our way and on this occasion it's cost us a point.

''It was shoulder to shoulder, the sort of contact you always get in the penalty box, and it's very disappointing because it's a huge decision.

''When we go away from home 50-50 decisions are going against us, and that's understandable because the same thing happens all over Europe every weekend.

''But when referees come to the Liberty Stadium, maybe because we are a big club in this league with a big crowd, they seem to be trying to show that they will not be intimidated.

''It's as if they are trying to make a point and it looks as though we're going to have get used to it,''

''There are too many areas to mention in terms of where we need to improve,'' he added.

That last bit is damn right. It was one of our worst performances at home this season, though there have been other games at the Liberty just as bad this year.

We need a drastic improvement at home as good away form won't be enough to get us automatic promotion this season.

For me Scotland has to work harder upfront, Tll frustrate us and we need to work to find solutions to brake them down. Duffy is doing all Scotland's work and is making Duffy look a a worse player than he is. Duffy for me didn't do much wrong on Friday, unlike Scotland who simply couldn't be bothered.
