'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Reactions: Swansea 0-1 Huddersfield

Huddersfield Town boss Andy Ritchie hailed tonight's 1-0 win at the Liberty Stadium as their best result of the season.

His side ended our 10-match unbeaten run as we failed to keep the momentum going near the top of League One.

It was an abysmal performance by us from start to finish and Martinez said tonight was a lesson learned for his squad:

'I'm a little disappointed with the performance and result but it's a lesson learned. We need to move on from this and put it behind us. We didn't have more motivation than to go top of the division. It's the first time this season our performance wasn't up to scratch.

'I've seen the goal which was ruled out and I still can't see why. Hopefully it will even out by the end of the season.'

A little dissappointed Roberto? It was a shocking performance and you should be fuming with your players after 12,000 fans had to witness that rubbish tonight.

Ritchie meanwhile said:

'We've gone four undefeated now in all competitions and are moving in the right direction. But this was our best result of the season. It's hard to single anyone out for special praise as everyone was immense from start to finish.

'We stifled them throughout and restricted them to few chances. This is a very tough place to come so we are delighted to win and move up the table. We did our homework and every player played their part. The defenders were resolute while we also look dangerous on the counter attack.

'I didn't think Swansea created anything substantial, apart from towards the end and we go home very happy.'
