'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Swansea City Live On Sky!

At last, Swansea City will be playing in front of the Sky cameras when they take on Horsham in the FA Cup second round.

As we reported last night, the non-league club needed to make upgrades to their flood lights if Sky were to show the game live. They have made lengthy inspections of their ground and have given it the go ahead.

The match will be played on Friday November 30th, kicking off at 7:45pm.

Both managers responded to the draw and the news that Sky were showing it live. Martinez said:

'Playing in front of a massive TV audience will be good for this football club,''

'It will put us in the spotlight and get people talking about the club.

'But it will only be a good thing if we win the game. What you've got to remember is that we are on TV because they are looking for a typical cup upset; so we've got to disappoint them on that front.

'But it won't be easy. Horsham had a fantastic first round result; they've got the belief and are dreaming of a place in the third round.

'They are a stronger team than Billericay in terms of league position and their manager has already stated that they can win the tie.

'But the boys know what to expect now after last Saturday's game at Billericay. It's amazing that we will be going back into the same environment.''

Horsham boss John Maggs said:

'It is an excellent draw. We could not ask for better.

'We just need to get our heads round it now and make sure we are organised for the game.

'The three sides you would want were NottinghamForest, Leeds or Swansea, so that's great. There could be a shock on the cards, I think it's a winnable game.'

Swansea fans have been annoyed at the constant ignorance we've had from Sky and BBC regarding showing live football games.

Online petitions have even been lauched to try and get us a live game!

The Swans will get 75,000 for the live appearance.

Good to see Horsham getting a much needed cash injesction from the competition. Both clubs receive 75,000 from a live cup game.
