Martinez Seeks Wembley Cup Final

Martinez Seeks Wembley Cup Final

Roberto Martinez says he'd love to take his team to a cup final at the new Wembley Stadium.

His side face Yeovil tonight in the quarter-final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, and the Swansea boss says they are fully focussed on winning the game and progressing through to the next round.

Martinez told the Western Mail:

'It's a big competition for us,'

'We've got a great history in it and we look forward to each round.

'There's a fantastic prize at the end of it. I would love to take a team to Wembley.

'It's a huge opportunity and we enjoy it as a football club. We know how important it could be and that's why we are taking it so seriously. We want to win it.'

He continued, 'It would be great if we could give the fans an away-day at Wembley. That gives us the motivation to get through these early rounds.

'You never find the right time to play these games. But we look forward to our cup commitments and we want to win every game.'
