October Player of the Month Results

October Player of the Month Results

Dorus De Vries has won his second successive Vital Swansea Player of the Month poll.

The Dutch goalkeeper took 51% of the vote to win the Player of the Month poll for October. He also won it in September, taking 53%.

He was well ahead of the other nominees, with Ferrie Bodde second with just 18%. Paul Anderson was third with 17%, Angel Rangel with 6%, Monk and Butler 3% and Feeney 2%.

Swansea fans have been delighted to see such a quality goalkeeper this season after watching (nervously) Willy Gueret between the sticks last year.

De Vries has made a number of superb saves this month again to keep out what looked like certain goals from the opposition.

Along with the likes of Jason Scotland and Ferrie Bodde, it was another brilliant piece of business by Martinez to sign him on a free transfer this Summer - from Scottish side Dunfermline.

Our new poll asks who should play at centre back alongside captain Garry Monk.

Should Lawrence keep his place or is Tate a better option? Many fans have criticised Lawrence's performances recently, can Tate do a job there instead or should we be looking to sign a new defender in the January transfer window?
