'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Billericay Sees Weaknesses In Swans

Billericay Town manager Matt Jones says he will be looking to exploit our weaknesses to create a shocking FA Cup upset on Saturday.

Jones has watched us in action and says he has noticed some weaknesses in Roberto Martinez's side that he'll be looking to take advantage of this weekend.

I'm sure Martinez has done the same though, and noticed a number of weaknesses in a side that compete 4 leagues below us in the Ryman Premier Division.

Billericay Town manager Matt Jones said:

'We could play Swansea 10 times and nine times they would probably win,'' said Jones. 'However, I've been to see them play and having done that I'm more confident now than I was before I saw them.

'Don't get me wrong, Swansea are a very good side, but I have noticed a few weaknesses and, if they drop their performance level, don't take us seriously or don't respect the competition, then we could win.

'Although it's a big game, it is still a football match with 11 against 11 and I want to implement a strategy to beat them.

'I played in games against Norwich and Charlton in the FA Cup, and I know that if you believe you can win, then that's half the battle.''

'It's a huge game for the club and I'm delighted for the supporters who have been coming for 30 years and have told me that they have been waiting for this moment,''

'Swansea won't be comfortable playing away from their environment whereas our lads will be.'

That last quote also puzzles me. Has he noticed our away record this season?

I don't think it'll be an asbolutely thrashing from us as Billericay will be battling hard to cause an upset, but I'm expecting our extra quality to shine through to get us through to the next round comfortably.

How will Swansea do at Billericay on Saturday? Will we struggle or win by a large margin?

the character of the team and our manager is too good for them to cause an upset or create a scare in the game, we should win by a decent margin.

is the game on radio wales?
rhysjones1
probly on the radio rhys. Our superier fitness and skill will shine through in the end. As long as the lads respect their quality as they wouldn;t be in the competition if they didn't play well then we should be fine. I'm not taking anything for granted but as long as we keep the ball, pass it around limit their chances, keep them running their going to get knackered and worn down and then we can really play.
