'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Reactions: Millwall 2-2 Swansea

Roberto Martinez had mixed feeling following last night's 2-2 draw away at Millwall.

Scotland put us in front after 17 minutes with an easy tap in from Anderson's parried shot. But the hosts got back into the game in the second half with 2 goals in 10 minutes.

Anderson was involved again as he converted Scotland's cross with 12 minutes to play.

Defensive errors cost us, their equaliser came from a corner and Austin conceded a penalty because of handball.

After the game, Roberto Martinez said:

''Overall, when you look at our history at this ground, maybe a point is not that bad,''

'I was pleased with the way we got the ball down and played through Millwall for the equaliser, but I was disappointed with both the goals we conceded.

''The penalty was a huge decision. Kevin Austin was one yard away from the cross, so it can't possibly be hand to ball.

'We were also beaten from a set piece - a corner we should have dealt with a lot better.

'Millwall caused us problems and I think when we went ahead we took our foot off the pedal a little bit.

'But we showed some character and good personality to get back into the game and score a good goal at the end.

'We're disappointed because we can play a lot better, so it was a night of mixed feelings really.''

Despite only gaining a point, we go up a place to 4th and are 3 points behind Carlisle in first with a game in hand.

Millwall caretaker boss Colin West also said:

'When you consider the quality they have and the position they have got in the league, I thought to a man we were very good and it is a good result.

'For the most part of the game, we had them on the back foot. We had more than our fair share of chances and we probably could have won the game.

'The penalty was a tough one. Sometimes they don't go your way when you are down at the bottom, but thankfully it went our way.'
