Martinez Manager Of The Month?

Martinez Manager Of The Month?

Roberto Martinez joins John Ward, Dennis Wise and Dean Wilkins as nominees for October's League One Manager of the Month award.

"The only manager with a 100% win record. he deserves it"
Martinez has seen his side won every single game this month which takes us up to 2nd in the table, just a point off leaders Carlisle with a game in hand.

John Ward became the manager of Carlisle at the beginning of the month and in his first game in charge, the Cumbrians beat Millwall away 4-0.

After occupying a play-off place before his arrival, Ward has steered his side to the top of League One with 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss this month.

Dennis Wise is also looking for his third consecutive League One manager's award, having won it in August and September this season.

Despite a 15 point deduction, Leeds sit in 6th place and only 4 points behind the leaders.

This month, Leeds have won 5 and drawn 1.

The fourth manager nominated for the award is Brighton's Dean Wilkins.

After a poor start, a good run has seen them rise up to 8th, 10 places higher than their lowest position this season.

Their record for October is 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat.

Roberto Martinez is surely the favourite to win the award having won every game and scoring by the far the most goals.

The winner will be announced on Sky Sports News on Thursday at around 12.20pm.
