Rangel Wins Best Signing Poll

Rangel Wins Best Signing Poll

Angel Rangel has won our 'Best Signing of the Season' Poll.

Vital Swansea readers see the full back as Roberto Martinez's best this season, ahead of the likes of Ferrie Bodde, Jason Scotland and Darryl Duffy.

The Spanish right back joined us for an extremely low fee considering how well he's played in every game since the pre-season friendlies.

He's taken over from Alan Tate as our new right back and his consistency and solid performances has already won him unofficial man of the match and Player of the Month awards.

Here's how you voted:

Duffy 13%
Scotland 1%
Feeney 2%
Bauza 1%
Orlandi 16%
Bodde 16%
Collins 1%
Anderson 9%
Rangel 21%
De Vries 20%
Knight 0%

Closely following Rangel was De Vries on 20% and Orlandi and Bodde, both with 16%, who all joined us on free transfers.

Surprising was Jason Scotland with just 1%. The striker, who also joined us for nothing quickly became our top scorer with a good run of goals early on but the goals have seemed to dry up lately from the Trinidad and Tobago forward.

No goals and poor performances in the last 5 games has probably been the factor as to why his score in the poll was so low.

De Vries won Vital Swansea's 'Player of the Month' poll for September while Ferrie Bodde has also impressed the fans in the centre of midfield this season.

In our new poll... we want to know who your preferred strike partnership is when everyone is fit.

Vote NOW on the right hand side.

How did you vote in the poll? Did you agree with the results?

My choice was 1. Rangel - has played in all the league games - consistent. 2. De Vries - reliable and should give the back 4 more confidence. 3. Bodde - apart from one silly moment has had good games.
