Duffy Confident Goals Will Come

Duffy Confident Goals Will Come

Despite having a frustrating start to the season, striker Darryl Duffy says he's confident that he can score a lot goals this season.

The former Hull City forward was in fine form during his short loan spell with us last season, but he has failed to carry that with him this season following his £250,000 move from the Tigers.

Despite scoring just once this season in 10 starts, Duffy is confident the goals will come:

'It has been frustrating so far for me but I am confident I can score a lot of goals this season,'

'Scoring goals is my game and I will never doubt my ability.

'I said earlier this season that we were going to hammer a few teams and it just so happened while I was injured.

'But having seen the quality service provided to the strikers over the past few weeks, I think it is only a matter of time before I am back scoring.'

Duffy has spent the last few weeks out injured and Warren Feeney has come in and netted 4 goals in 3 starts.

Feeney is likely to partner Jason Scotland up front when the Swans to travel to Yeovil this weekend. Scotland however has not been playing up to his standards lately and the player himself has said he needs to improve.

With Martinez having 5 players back last week, the Swansea boss now has strong competition for nearly every position.
