Bodde: "We Can Stay Top"

Swansea City midfielder Ferrie Bodde says the team can remain top of the league. Well he's hardly going to say different is he!

His superbly taken free-kick got us on our way on Sunday as we beat Bournemouth 4-1 at Dean Court.

The Dutchman has proved to be one of our best signings and players so far this season, with many fans thinking he should be playing at a higher level.

He has played an important part in the heart of midfield, showing superb vision and passing ability.

After going top for the first time this week, Bodde thinks with team effort and confidence, we can stay there:

'It's great to be top of the league,'

'That's where the team, the fans and the club want to be and my target now is to stay there.

'It's only October, but if we keep playing the way we are, with confidence and working each for other, then we can stay up at the top.

'We don't want to put too much pressure on ourselves, but we are a good side and I think we will be up there if we keep playing as we are.'

'We have had some difficult times already this season where we've lost games we shouldn't have lost,'

'We have played well in games and not come away with the points.

'But everybody, the whole team, is working hard to get the result.

'We are all working for each other and that's making us believe we can win games.'

'There is a good feeling around and that's why we're winning games.'

If the 4 mid-field players that played in the last 2 league games keep fit, then there is every chance that the run will continue.
