Wilson: Pressure Will Be On Swans
Hartlepool boss Danny Wilson says the pressure will be on the Swans to get a result on Saturday.
His side will travel to the Liberty Stadium on the back of a 1-0 win at Bristol Rovers which he says will give them a boost ahead of the game:
| 'It was important to get the three points against Bristol Rovers,' 'You don't want to be going away from home on the back of a defeat regardless of who you are playing, it is difficult enough at this level. 'But that win has kept the confidence going. 'We can go there and not have as much pressure on us to get a result, the onus is one the home side. They are playing well but hopefully we can go there and do a good job.' |
In the League, Hartlepool's recent form in the last 6 is Won 2, Drawn 2 and Lost 2. Recent results include a 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest, a 2-2 at home to Carlisle and a 1-0 defeat against Walsall.
Pool sit just outside the play-off positions in 7th on 17 points, only 3 adrift of the Swans.
Since their last win against us on their travels in 2001, we've played each other 5 times with 3 draws and 2 Hartlepool wins.

The pressure has allways been on the Swans. From his statement you canpretty much be sure that he is coming here purely to get the draw. As long as we don't lose i won't mind a draw allthough a win is definately the priority. With so many teams setting up for draws we may aswell try to pick up as many points on the road.

Our record against Hartlepool is not good. "since 2001, we've played each other 5 times with 3 draws and 2 Hartlepool wins".
It is time for us to notch up a WIN against them and we will do it on saturday.
