Ling: We Took A Deserved Beating

After his side's 5-0 thrashing against Swansea City this afternoon, Orient boss said his side were 'thoroughly beaten and deservedly so'.

The damage was done in the second half with 3 goals in 11 minutes from Martinez's side.

Butler gave us an early lead after 4 minutes and Ling said he thought his side were the better of the two during the first 45 minutes.

He told their Official site:

'We were thoroughly beaten and deservedly so,'

'We came in at half-time 1-0 down to a wonder goal, but at that stage, we were probably the better side.

'However, we've taken a pasting in the second half all the way through. Conceding 20 seconds after half time got us on the back foot and from then onwards is where the disappointment lies.

'The third and fourth came too easily from both full back positions. And when they shots have come in, they haven't been backed up by good goalkeeping.

'We were outstripped for the fifth and it was a poor defensive performance.

'Before the last four games we were looking tight - we've done nothing different in training. Individual and collective mistakes are being punished.

'The scoreline may have been a little lopsided but the points have certainly gone in the right direction.'

Martinez's views to follow.

Its nice to see a manager who actually sees it like it is. A breath of fresh air.
