Duffy To Make Surprise Return?

Darryl Duffy could make a surprise return to action tomorrow when Swindon visit the Liberty Stadium.

The striker was expected to make his return next week in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy after picking up a groin injury at Leeds 10 days ago.

Roberto Martinez said:

'The injury has responded really well,''

'Our physio, Richie Evans, and the medical team have worked really hard with him.

'It also shows Darryl's determination and desire to get back out there on the pitch as soon as he can.

'He'll join in with training tonight (Monday) and we'll assess him after that to see if you can figure in the squad against Swindon.''

Duffy is unlikely to start the match but he could well make the bench tomorrow night.

that'll be good for us, even if he's on the bench. feeney didn't do much in front of goal on sat.

that is very good news but his recovery must not be rushed.
