Trundle: Swansea Have C'ship Quality

Lee Trundle has backed his old team-mates to join him in the Championship next season.

The former striker, who joined Bristol City for £1million in the Summer, says the Swans have Championship quality.

In an interview with the Western Mail, he said:

'That's the thing with Swansea. They play Championship football.

'They like to get the ball down and play football. Hopefully when they make it to the Championship, the style of football will suit them and they will do well here.

'They definitely have Championship quality. They play the right football and everything is in place to see them promoted.

'They have a great stadium, a supportive chairman, a brilliant young manager who knows football inside out and a strong squad. With the unbelievable supporters they have, they will soon get where they deserve to be.

'I always look at the Swansea results to see how they are getting on.

'They had a bit of a tough start but they had come back and got up to fourth before the Leeds game.

'Leeds was never going to be easy considering the form they were in. It was tough for the boys but they will come back strong.'

Trundle has so far struggled to prove he can continue his goalscoring form at a higher level, and has managed 2 goals this season for Gary Johnson's side.

Bristol City fans have commented on the internet recently that he's been fairly anonymous in recent games and seems to struggle with the style of football they are playing.

Do you agree with Trundle? Have we got Championship quality to get out of this division?

we're not going to go up if we're struggling to get wins, coming back from going a goal down all the time. atm we're not capable of going more than 3 games without a defeat.
