Craney Vows To Come Back Better

Swansea City midfielder Ian Craney insists he'll return to the Liberty Stadium a better player after his 3-month loan spell at Accrington Stanley.

'I think he would be better off elsewhere with the competition we have in midfield now'
Craney has returned to his previous club to gain some much needed match experience which will hopefully boost his confidence when he returns.

He has also said that his career still firmly lies with the Swans and that he'll definitely be returning in January, hopefully a better player.

He told the Evening Post:

'This doesn't mean the end of me at Swansea,'

'This is about me going out to get a few games under my belt, getting myself going again and then coming back and hopefully helping Swansea get into the Championship.

'I'm not leaving for good. I'm leaving to get playing again and then to come back to Swansea refreshed.'

'There have been a few clubs mentioned, but I felt Accrington would be best for me in this situation,'

'I thought there was nowhere better to go when I'm just leaving for three months to get some games.

Craney also revealed that he has been pushing for a loan move which Martinez wasn't keen on.

According to the Evening Post, Martinez rejected a £100,000 bid from Yeovil in the Summer, and many fans will have wanted us to accept that offer as it simply hasn't worked out for Craney here.

There are also mixed feelings amongst Accrington Stanley fans on his return to the Crown Ground.

Some say he struggled in the League after gaining promotion from the Conference and don't know where he'll fit in in their first team, whilst others are excited to see him return.

In our current poll, 72% would like us to get rid of Craney, with 28% wanting him to stay.

Would you like to see Craney return to Swansea City?
