Brighton Youth 4-1 Swansea Youth

Brighton Youth 4-1 Swansea Youth

David Moss' Youth side suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat against Brighton.

Chris Jones netted the only Swansea goal when we were 3-0 down.

Moss' Post Match Reaction to the defeat:

'It was a very poor performance,'

'Even with the team we had out we should have performed a lot better than we did.

'We started the game very well, but credit to Brighton they have always been a very good footballing side and they proved that again today.

'On the day they were very good and we were very poor, especially defensively. If you defend poorly against good teams you have no chance of winning games and we got exactly what we deserved.

'The players have not turned into bad players overnight, they're still the same players that had a good pre-season and great start to the season, but some days you have performances where nothing seems to go right.'

'When things don't go right on the pitch they've got to be mentally strong enough and intelligent enough to identify problems and put them right,'

'I can direct things from the sidelines, but I also need the players to put things right on the pitch themselves.'

Next up for the Youth side is Barnet at St Helens on Saturday 22nd September, kick off is at 11am.
