Updates On The Swansea Youth Team

David Moss' under-18 youth team have started brilliantly in the South West Puma Youth Alliance League.

We've won both matches so far this season, with two 3-0 victories.

The first was at home to Cheltenham, with Wright, Grimes and Burgin netting the goals.

The second was away at Hereford, with Wright again getting on the scoresheet along with Hewitt-Fisher and Chris Jones.

Next up is a difficult home game against Bournemouth, another side who have won both their games so far.

The Youth side has certainly showed signs of promise lately. With Joe Allen earning himself a 3-year professional contract at the age of 17, and gaining first team starts in 2 cup games.

Kerry Morgan has been loaned out to Port Talbot Town and score on his debut for the League of the Wales side.

The Youth team have also been handed a bye into the Second Round of the FA Youth Cup.

David Moss has been particularly pleased with the attitude of his young squad and he told Owain Johns in an interview:

'We have got a great set of boys here. Physically they are very strong, fit and good technically.

'I took the boys on personally, so i know what their characters are like. There are no bad characters in the team, they are all excellent boys and I think it showed (against Cheltenham).'
