Swansea Sign Orlandi and Feeney

Swansea City have signed subject to Football League Clearance ; Striker Andrea Orlandi from Deportivio Alaves and Northern Ireland Striker Warren Feeney on Loan from Cardiff.

Martinez last gasp raid for replacements saw Middlesbrough Keeper David Knight sign for the club only hours earlier.

It was expected that Martinez would sign a Centre Back before the window closed at midnight but a deal could not be tied up. Martinez will have to utilize the loan market to secure a CB.

26 year old Northern Ireland international Warren Feeney was also signed before the Midnight deadline. He makes the short journey down the M4 from Bitter rivals Cardiff City has joined on a 4 month loan.

Roberto also pulled of another Spanish raid with the late acquisition of long term transfer target Striker Andrea Orlandi.The 23 year old striker has agreed a 1 year deal to join the club from Depotivio Alaves.

There is also the option of an extension. Orlandi is expected to join up with the Squad ahead of the Johnston's Paint Trophy 1st round game vs Millwall on Tuesday.

Orlandi has spent the last two seasons on loan to Barcelona where he made three first team apperances. The 23 year old has been a regular starter in the Barcelona reserve side making 66 apperances.

Martinez was quick to praise his new Striker .

Now we can breath a collective sigh of relief Martinez will be able to chalk up his first home win of the season vs Doncaster today.
