Can We Cause A Cup Upset?

After a comfortable first round 2-0 victory at home to Walsall, Swansea City now face Premiership side Reading in the Carling Cup 2nd Round.

I think Roberto Martinez will fancy his chances against Steve Coppell's side tonight. He'll certainly give it a real go and although he'll name a different side to Saturday's, we'll still have a very good line-up, capable of causing a cup upset tonight.

'Just like Sheff Utd last season, I fancy us for this one.'
I'm hoping Guillem Bauza Mayol will be given a chance up front tonight as I'm sure either Jason Scotland or Darryl Duffy will be rested tonight.

Paul Anderson returned to the bench at Walsall after an injury and hopefully we'll get another chance to see what he's capable of.

Steve Coppell wants to do well in this competition and is likely to name quite a strong line-up, with Leroy Lita and Dave Kitson set to start up front.

They both pose a huge threat in the visitors attack and I think our defence could ruin our chances of progressing tonight.

Our centre backs are prone to making costly errors, especially away from home and I think they could leak a few goals tonight. Neither of our centre backs are blessed with any pace to cope with Lita or Kitson and unless we can keep a clean sheet in the first half, I think we'll find it difficult to come back against the Premiership side.

I think this game will be closer than many people think and we may even be able to pull off a cup upset. Only one or two goals will seperate the sides at the end of the game. Come on the jacks!

yea my only concern as i said is the defence. We look very shaky against league 1 opposition so how will we cope with the pace and strength combination of lita and kitson?
