Swansea Close To New Signings

Swansea Close To New Signings

Swansea City Manager Roberto Martinez will have to get his skates on if he is to strengthen the Squad before the Transfer Window closes on Friday.

With 3 new faces expected to come into the club Martinez and the club will be burning the midnight oil to secure the targets to strengthen the Squad.

Top priority for Martinez is brining in a new Goalkeeper to challenge in form Dorus De Vries.Martinez will be also on the look out for a new striker and a defender.

The Club have made approaches to clubs and expect the deals to be finalized on Tuesday.

Roberto Martinez
Spoke To The Western Mail:

'We will bring a goalkeeper in, that`s an area we need to strengthen."

It would be very risky to go all season without a second keeper.'

We have a couple of options and we`ll keep looking into it.

It`s too premature to mention names, but we`ve made approaches and everything should be finalised by Tuesday.

If we can improve, what we`ve got we`re going to take that opportunity."

With a vital Carling Cup game vs Premiership side Reading tomorrow night it proves to be a very interesting week for the club.

Will Martinez get his targets?

I like the fact that Martinez tries to keep his cards close to his chest whenever possible. His signings in the close season where sucessfull and hopefully he will carry that on untill friday. Another GK and a solid CB are a must though!
