Martinez Cools Off Hartson Move

Martinez Cools Off Hartson Move

Roberto Martinez didn't exactly hint to Real Radio that he would like to see John Hartson sign for the Swans.

by Josho
"i still Think we should sign Hartson."
By his comments, it looks as if the Spaniard doesn't think he'd fit in at the club and mentioned there are many aspects to consider when signing a player.

I doubt he'd fit into our style of play plus Martinez also mentioned his current contract situation.

Martinez told Real Radio:

John Hartson has got a fantastic pedigree and has played at the highest level.

The contract situation of John Hartson, we're talking about someone who has a Premiership contract and there are many many aspects we need to take into consideration.

At the moment the way we're playing and the dynamics of the group it's a difficult one.

Should we sign John Hartson or should we look elsewhere for a striker?

To sign Hartson would be a serious step back for the club.

how would it be a step back? we're hardly going to lose anything by signing him, which i doubt very much we will anyway.

he is past his best it would be a huge step back for the club his wage demands would be high , he is unfit and has not played many games we need a player who can hit the ground running .

jermaine easter would never come here he's stated that, plus he doesn't have the right attitude for martinez.
