Swans Close To Signing New Keeper

Swans Close To Signing New Keeper

Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez has announced today on Real Radio that the club are on the verge of securing the services of a new Goalkeeper.

Martinez has upto now failed in his attempts to sign a Goalkeeper to challenge Dorus De Vries.

Approaches were made for Liverpool reserve keepers David Martin and Nikolay Mihaylov .Mihaylov has subsequently signed for Dutch Side FC Twente and Martin is needed at Liverpool as Rafa Benitez's third choice Keeper.

Martinez
told Real Radio:

"We're very close to finalising in that department."

Youth team keeper Callum Hawthorne has been the clubs no 2 keeper since the departure of unsettled French Keeper Willy Gueret to MK Dons.

What do you think of the possible arrival of a new keeper?
