De Vries: 'Forest Should Be Ashamed'

Swansea City goalkeeper Dorus De Vries said Nottingham Forest should be ashamed of themselves after getting a 'hammering' on Saturday.

by GThomas
"You can see why Forest are yet to score, they were rubbish".
The score was 0-0 but Swansea dominated the game as De Vries remained idle for most of the 90 minutes.

The Dutchman was signed on a free to replace Willy Gueret and has hardly put a foot wrong since he joined. Argubly he could have done better with Oldham's second last week but the defenders should have dealt with the cross.

He told the Evening Post:

''Forest should get the hell out of here quickly because they must be feeling ashamed after getting hammered like that,''

''They celebrated like they had won the Carling Cup and I suppose if a draw is what they came for they've done well.

''But we hammered them - they had one shot and didn't do anything else in the game - and if we keep playing like that I know the points will come our way.''

''The clean sheet's nice and the way the boys in front me of defended was great,''

''The only disappointment was that we didn't win the game, but we must be patient because if we carry on like this I'm confident there will be a lot of teams losing a lot of points to us.

''We should have more than one point so far. At Oldham we dominated possession and were brilliant on the ball. It was the same again against Forest and the only thing missing is the goals.

''But I'm confident they will soon come. We've got a couple of great strikers so I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.''

Playing against a defensive side with 8 players behind the ball was always going to be difficult to break down, we created more than enough chances though with Scotland and Bodde hitting the wood work.

On another day Forest could have been on the receiving end of a big defeat.

And as De Vries says, our performances are impressive, we're creating chances and it's only a matter of time before we get in the full swing of things and scoring for fun!

What are your views on the Swans so far this season? Are you encouraged with our performances despite our lack of goals?
