Swansea Draw Reading In Carling Cup

Swansea City have drawn Premiership opposition in the form of Reading at the Liberty Stadium in the 2nd round of the Carling Cup.

The Swans are no strangers to Cup clashes against Reading after by then Championship outfit dumped Swansea out of the Carling Cup in the first round in 2005.

Swansea finally secured a safe passage into the 2nd round for the first time in eight seasons with a 2-0 win vs Walsall at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.

The two goals came from two of Martinez`s new signings Paul Anderson in the first half and Jason Scotland deep into injury time in the 2nd half.

Swansea were unseeded for the draw which took place live on Sky Sports.

The Tie will be played the week begging the 27th August.
