Watt Signs For Inverness On Loan

Swansea City defender Steven Watt has been sent out on loan to SPL side Inverness Caledonian Thistle The length of the loan is set initially at a 6 month period with a possible extension.

Watt had featured in pre season games but it was felt that the Defender would not break into the Swansea City squad on a regular basis.

The Paper work should be completed within the next 24 hours. Watt is set to feature against Motherwell in ICT's reserve side tomorrow.

Roberto Martinez On Watt's move north on The Official site:

''Steve is young player with fantastic potential who has been unfortunate with injuries in his time at Swansea.'

Waiting for an opportunity with us is no good for him right now. He needs to go and get games to progress and become the player we think he can be.'

We gave him another contract because we think he can be an asset to Swansea, and going on loan to a very good league like the SPL will help him achieve that.

We will review things in December and decide where we go from there depending on how Steve finds it.'

Roberto will now be looking to secure a replacement for Watt and to strengthen in the Striker and Goalkeeper positions.

good. he needs games and this should be ideal for him, hopefully he'll be back after 6 months, fit and ready to challenge for a first team place.
Burdett
He looks a very good player and hopefully he will come back after the Christmas break with no injury worries, games under his belt and full of confidence. I can see him playing a part in ouyr promotion push this season as he knows he is playing for a new contract at the end of the season and he wioll want to impress!
