Tate Launches Criticism Against Hall

Swansea City defender Alan Tate has hit out against Referee Andy Hall for decision making throughout the game.

The Swans fell foul of Hall in the 45th second of the game when he pointed to the spot and gave a penalty to Oldham Athetic.

Swansea City Manager Roberto Martinez leapt to the defense of Tate who was adjudged to have committed the foul inside the box. Martinez has claimed that the foul was committed outside the area which would have led to a FK not a Penalty Kick.

Swansea City levelled the game with a Jason Scotland goal.Tate was in the spotlight again after he was Adjudged to have upended Craig Davis.

Alan Tate criticisms on Andy Hall From The Evening Post:

'Those decisions killed us and I said that to the ref at the end. He said he would have a look at it, but whether he'll be honest enough to come out and say he got both wrong.'

It's the same old thing - we go on about refs and people wonder why we tear our hair out about them. Look at the penalty. Never mind whether it was outside the box or not, it wasn't a foul. Both of us had arms across each other and he (Davies) went to the floor.

I don't think he appealed for a penalty - no-one thought he would get one, not even the crowd - but the ref has set his stall out for the season now.

As for the handball, I'm an honest player and I can honestly say that it hit my shoulder.

If I get sent off or give away a penalty and it's the right decision I'll admit it, but the ref got both of those wrong.''

If Tate was found to have handled in the box then a Red Card or at least a Yellow card should have been given. Neither were shown to Tate and raises questions on Hall's judgement.

In spite of this we were the better side and had so many chances to win the game and there can be no excuse for not converting them.

Tate has said it before and now hes said it again. i seen the penalty decision yesterday and it was shocking. maybe the referees everywhere are against us because we are welsh. we can hardly get decisions at home either.

I've always said this, English Ref's are always going to side with an English team, why can't we have a Scottish ref for games between English and Welsh teams?.
cyjax
it's going to be biased whatever the nationality of the ref. if he is english they side with the english team, and anything they will side with us, as everybody hates the english.
