Wilson Tips Duffy To Shine

Wilson Tips Duffy To Shine

Hartlepool United boss Danny Wilson says Darryl Duffy will be this season's League One star player.

Wilson was keen to sign Darryl Duffy this Summer after the striker scored 5 goals in 10 games whilst on loan at Hartlepool.

The Pools' boss has tipped Duffy to be a star this season and said:

'He'll be a Scottish international in the future,'

'and he'll have a big impact in League One.'

Duffy also praised Wilson and said:

'It's nice to hear Danny Wilson saying good things about me,'

'I was at Hartlepool for two months last season and I got on with him brilliantly both on and off the park.

'He has done superbly for Hartlepool and I can't really praise him highly enough.

'He has worked with some top-class players in his time - Paolo Di Canio for example - so to get praise from him is nice.

'I just hope I won't disappoint.'

At his request, the 23 year-old will wear the Number 11 shirt this season, and he'll be hoping for better luck than those who've worn it before him!

Pawel Abbott had a short stay with the Swans last season while Rory Fallon also had a dissapointing spell before him - 2 players that failed to ever get the full respect from the Swans faithful.
