Swansea Release Trialist Lezou

Swansea Release Trialist Lezou

Not surprisingly, Roberto Martinez has released trialist Doba Lezou after playing 3 games during the Holland Tour.

The Ivory Coast centre back unimpressed during the tour and it didn't take him long to get off to a bad start.

He was nearly at fault for conceding a goal in the opening game against Stormvogals Telstar. Pinas took advantage of his poor back header but De Vries did well to deny Telstar from doubling their lead.

In his third and last game for us, Chris Langeveld got the better of Lezou to lob Gueret.

He was anything but solid at the back and along with a lack of confidence and strength Martinez had no choice but to let him go. Even part-time sides like Alphense Boys were giving him trouble.

I don't understand why Martinez gave him a trial, surely the scouts would have known he was no good. maybe he was just nervous for the time he was on trial. we really do need a good, solid centre back to partner Lawrence, unless Tate is going to play there next season.
