'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jenkins Rules Out Jones Signing

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins says a move for Hibernian defender Rob Jones is unlikely.

Rumours in Scotland suggested that we had a 500,000 bid turned down for the former Grimsby defender, but Jenkins denies these claims, he told the Evening Post:

'Rob Jones is on a list of players who Roberto likes,'

'But we have not had any discussions with Hibs at all and we haven't had a bid rejected.

'We've watched him a few times, but I don't think he will be the one for us.'

The 27 year-old joined the Scottish side last season for an undisclosed fee. He has also had spells with Macclesfield, Stockport and Gateshead.

He played a total of 45 games last season in all competitions, netting 7 goals.
