John Aloisi Added To Targets List

The Evening Post today reports that along with Luke Moore, John Aloisi is also a target to replace Lee Trundle.

Aloisi is available on a free after being released from Spanish second division side Alaves.

The 31 year-old has been linked with a move back to his native Australia.

The striker has averaged a goal every two games internationally, scoring 27 goals in 54 games for the national side.

He has had spells with English clubs Coventry City and Portsmouth and has totalled up just over £2million transfer fees during his career.

Claims that we're targetting Aston Villa striker Luke Moore have been laughed off by their fans.

The promising youngster has impressed boss Martin O'Neil over the pre-season period and looks to play a more active role in the Premiership this season.

Martinez says he won't be rushed in making any signings. He told the Evening Post:

''We will never panic buy,''

''and we will not bring someone in just for the sake of it.

''I have huge confidence in my squad and we will see if we need to strengthen. The performances of the boys already here will tell us that.''

With reports of targeting Luke Moore ridiculed by Villa fans, Martinez is either aiming way out of our league or the reports are false. Either way, we have no hope in signing him.

Regarding Aloisi on the other hand, he's available on a free but it looks likely that he's returning to his home country.

Long-term target and Derby defender Darren Moore remains a top target for Martinez still.

It wwould be good if we could bring in Darren Moore from the sale of Trunds as i think our strikers are capable of performing in this league while our defence still remains dodgy!
