Aston Villa Striker Is Top Target

According to today's News of the World, Aston Villa striker Luke Moore is Martinez's top target to replace Lee Trundle.

The newspaper also claims that John Hartson is NOT on a list of 4 possible replacements.

A Swans 'insider' said: 'Moore is his number one choice. Roberto knows it will be hard to lure him to Swansea but he has set his sights on bringing him in as soon as possible.'

It does seem like an ambitious attempt to sign a Premiership striker, who scored a hatrick on Villa's Canadian Tour which impressed boss Martin O'Neill.

He told their official site:

'His goals were terrific and his overall play was really excellent,'

'Luke knows if he puts the work in, he's got the natural talent and you wouldn't want it to go to waste.

'He can conjure a goal when things aren't going well. If he works hard, he has the ability to be anything.'

Moore is out of contract at the end of the season but a move to the Liberty Stadium looks extremely unlikely.

can't see Moore coming here if he's scoring hatricks for Villa! Think you need to look elsewhere Robbie!

Luke Moore! You would stand more chance of getting Bobby Moore down there, But not half as funny as Birmingham trying to sign Raul!

Is this a joke?

I have no issue at all with Swansea so I come in peace... but seriously, this is the equivalent to Villa going after Kaka or something!

it will be a rainey day in hell before you sign luke more, it would be like villa signing KAKA. Both players are firmly out of both clubs reach.

the evening post also say he is a target! i think Martinez is way too over ambitious on this one.

This is a joke, absolute bull****, but may be true if moore was considering burying his ambitions hopes dreams etc.
