Williams Joins Wycombe Wanderers

So much for his big club...former Swan Tom Williams has signed a 2-year deal with League 2 side Wycombe Wanderers.

Despite claiming a big club were interested in signing him after he was released, Williams has gone down a league to join the Chairboys.

The left back / midfielder is the Blues' tenth summer signing and boss Paul Lambert is delighted to see his arrival, he told their official website:

'I'm absolutely delighted at signing him. We've been trying to get him all summer, and there's been a lot of to-ing and fro-ing. He's a terrific player who's played a lot of games at a higher level.

'I saw him play against us for Swansea in the Carling Cup last season and was impressed with him, and I'm very happy to have signed him.'

Williams had previously been on trial with Championship side Watford but it's hardly surprisingly that they let him go.

His move to Wycombe will go through providing he gets international clearance.
