2 New Trialists Feature vs Neath

Swansea City included 2 new trialists in last night's friendly match against Neath Athletic.

Both appeared in the second half for the Swans, Senegal striker Ibrahima Thiam and Wales Under-19 left midfielder Jamie Price, recently released by Birmingham City.

Jamie Price

Birmingham signed the youngster in 2004 from Cheltenham Town in a deal worth up to £100,000.

With his long blonde hair and promising ability, he has been referred to by many as a 'young Robbie Savage'.

In January 2007 he was sent on loan to Conference side Tamworth. He made his debut for the club in the FA Cup 3rd round against Norwich City.

Fans' Thoughts On His Performance:

He looked a decent player on trial from Birmingham. He did have some good moments throughout the game, a little bit of pace at that position got bundled off the ball a few times needs to work on his strength. Always keen to get the ball.

He looked decent, agree with lightweight and his distribution wasn't what I'd say top drawer, but he got upfield well and supported macdonald and looked fairly tight defensively.

Ibrahima Thiam

He's a Senegal striker who was released from Belgian 2nd tier League side KFC Verbroedering Geel.

Like Akinfenwa, he's a journeyman and has played for quite a few clubs including Dakar UC, Kickers Emden and Strmsgodset IF.

Swansea City Manager Roberto MartinezOn the Official site:

'''Ibrahima was recommended to us by our Belgian scout and will be spending a few days on trial here,'' 'He's currently out of contract in Belgium and we'll have a good look at him.

I can see him having a run out either tonight or at Llanelli tomorrow.''

Fans' Thoughts On His Performance:

Had lots of endeavour powerful but needs to work on his finishing and heading he was a little weak in those areas but he may just need to settle down.
sbrjack

Missed a couple of close range chances, not the gretest close control, but could be nerves. Needs a few games to assess.

2 youngsters Kyle Graves and Shaun MacDonald also featured in the friendly match. Both players were praised by many for their performances.
