Swans To Play Levante

Swansea City have confirmed that they will play a friendly against La Liga side Levante on the 5th August.

Roberto Martinez was looking to secure a high profile club to test the Squad in the Liberty Stadium in preparation for next season.

The la Liga side includes Ze Maria, the former Inter Milan midfielder and Former Roma midfielder Damiano Tommasi. The La Liga side also boast Newcastle reject Laurent Robert and new Georgian striker Shota Arveladze.

Last season Levante were 15th in the Spanish Premier Division La Liga amassing 38 points and secured a last 16 place in the Copa Del Rey.

It is also has been reported that the club are looking to secure another friendly in the next few days. For a mid week fixture in the week beginning the 31st July.

We need to get a big club to come to the liberty as we have missed out since we moved and have played most cup games away! Hopefully that will draw in alot of supporters and it will be a good day!
