De Vries Looks Set For Swansea Move

De Vries Looks Set For Swansea Move

There is a report coming out of The Netherlands that Dutch Keeper Dorus De Vries has signed for the club.

voetbalprimeur.nl has reported that De Vries will sign a 2 year deal at the Liberty Stadium.

This report can neither be confirmed nor rejected. The South Wales Evening Post have stated that it looks as if we have won the race to sign the highly rated goalkeeper.

Reports from The Netherlands are confirming that the former Den Haag shot stopper will be joining us.

The Club have been on the hunt for a goalkeeper since Andy Oakes departed for Darlington.

I sincerely hope this move comes off as we need cover in this position. I feel more confident this could be the news we have been waiting for as De Vries has been in Swansea discussing a possible move with Roberto Martinez.

We definately need a new keeper and the fact that he has allready visited the city means that there is probably some fact behind the story! Hopefully we have found our first choice goalkeeper for next season!

i've heard he's from the same mould as van de saar with the same agility and temperament, so he could be a good signing. hopefully you can hold onto him.

If hes the same type of player as Van Der Saar then we have a very good keeper indeed! That should be the final thing that will allow us to get out of this division as last season it was mostly mistakes from Willy and Izzy that cost us the vital points that we needed to get into the play-offs!

Good to hear Cardiff are NOT interested. Hopefully we can convince him to sign as I'm sure he's been down for talks at least and according to a Dutch website he's going to sign for us.

Ridsdale says that Cardiff are not interested yet there is still alot of talk in the media that they are. Who do we believe? The media who thrive on rumours or our arch rivals chairman who may be trying to steal our signing?
