Scotland Granted Work Permit

Jason Scotland has been Officially granted a work Permit by the Home office this afternoon.

Jason Scotland will sign a 2 year deal with the club and St Johnston fc will receive a fee of £25,000 as he was released early from his contract at McDiarmid Park.

Scotland was acompanied by Roberto Martiez , Chief Scout Kevin Reeves , Swansea General Manager Alun Cowie ad his representative to the hearing in the Home Office this afternoon.

Reaction from Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez:

''It's absolutely fantastic news.. We had a very good hearing; very professional.

'We were all delighted to hear the positive outcome and I am already excited about working with him.

'He will be a quality acquisition to our squad. Goalscorers are the most precious commodity in football and I believe we've captured one of the highest caliber.

'As I said before, he has a magic touch and can make something out of nothing. He will certainly entertain and excite the crowds at the Liberty Stadium and beyond.''

This is the news we have been waiting for. Scotland will now link up with the rest of the squad for the Summer European tour.
