Pratley Returns after injury lay-off

After a lengthy lay-off due to a dislocated shoulder Swansea City Midfielder Darren Pratley has returned to training ahead of the new leauge one campaign.

Pratley has been injured since the 2-0 loss at home to Scunthorpe United on the 21st February.

Some sporadic reports have filtered through about rehabilitation of all the injured players from Swans Physio Richie Evans.

In May we reported that the recovery process of Prately was going to plan and he would return to training in pre season.

Darren Pratley told the South Wales Evening Post:

''I spent a lot of the summer strengthening my shoulder and it is fine.

There was a lot of competition last season for places and this year will be no different.

It keeps you on your toes and makes you work even harder. Having the extra competition there doesn't bother me.

I just want to play as many games as I can. I don't really fancy being on the bench if I can help it.

This is certainly good news ahead of the new season will a fully fit squad a real possibility Martinez will have a whole array of options at his disposal.

Pratley has been missed in the centre of midfield and the partnership with Bodde looks a very good one indeed on paper.

Nice to see him back hopefully he will be a strong influance this season and I think he should be made captain.

Our midfield was lacking something while Darren was out injured. Hopefully he will link up well with Bodde and we will finally have a midfield capable of supporting our strikers! He is a commanding figure and exactly what we need!
