Hartlepool Step Up Duffy Hunt

Hartlepool United have renewed their interest in Swans Target Darryl Duffy.

Hartlepool United have tabled a Official bid of £150,000 for the Hull Striker but was this fee was turned down by the Tigers.

The Club had been lookin to secure a deal for the 23 year old striker within the week but Pools boss Danny Wilson has made a last gasp attempt to land Duffy.

Swansea City Chairman Huw Jenkins told Sky Sports :

'The Hull chairman has confirmed to me that Hartlepool have come forward and that obviously means we will have a battle on our hands if we are to sign Darryl..One way or another, we expect things to be sorted out by the middle of next week, and that by that I mean the situation over Duffy and possibly three or four more signings that [manager] Roberto Martinez is working on..the feeling here is that we have strengthened well over the close-season and we will be looking no lower than a title challenge next year.'

The Will he or wont he saga continues. What is clear that should Duffy sign for the club it will happen in the next 7-10 days.

With the ambition Swansea have shown in recent weeks in the transfer market it is hoped that any potential signings will look upon that and want to join the club.

Swansea need to move fast or end thier interest in the player!

Why? We have four strikers under contract and so RM can afford to go on with negotiations.
Czech_Jack
well i think he can afford him with the cut backs on the other players , i do think we could use Duffy. He is wasted at Hull.

3 or 4 more signings sounds good. Another signing tomorrow maybe (Spanish), goalkeeper, left winger, defender hopefully.

it doesn't sound as if we're going to budge on £150k, Hull want 250k I think so I can't see it happening myself, unless Hull decide to let him go for 150k which I doubt.

If us and Hartleypool have both offered £150k then i cant see Hull selling however if they did accept it then i think it will be more likely that we will get him as he said he wants to move to us anyway! Hope this gets resolved soon though. I cant see why we don't meet half way with Hull and give them £200k as he is definately worth it!

I think he will be a Swansea player very soon.
