Swans To Sign Young Striker

Swansea City are set to sign 15 year-old trainee Matthew Wright.

The striker was released by Championship side Plymouth in February and has attracted a lot of interest since from clubs such as Southampton, Bristol Rovers and Swindon.

Wright opted to join the Swans however because of ''the way the club is run'' his mum explained.

The 6ft 3in striker will start a 2-year scholarship with Swansea on June 30th.

His mother told the Herald:

'Swansea have set him a physical exercise regime of running, swimming and weights and he's been doing that every day.

'He can't wait for the season to start.'
