Jenkins Keen To Sign Duffy & Bodde

Chairman Huw Jenkins says he is keen to sign both Darryl Duffy and Ferrie Bodde.

According to reports Duffy will cost between £100-£150,000 while Aberdeen failed to reach Den Haag's asking price of £70,000 for midfielder Ferrie Bodde.

Jenkins said:

'Ferry is one of a number of players we are interested in,'

'We tried to get him last season, but with them going down it might make it easier.'

'I'd like him (Darryl Duffy) to stay,'

'I think he proved to everyone that he is a good player and one who certainly added to our team.

'Whether we can keep him I don't know. We will sit down with people from Hull at some point and see if we can reach terms.'

Jenkins also pointed out that the club will be spending their money wisely after admitting to making mistakes in the past. Yes Huw, £300,000 for Fallon was absolutely scandalous.

Still, there's money available for the right players and Duffy certainly is the right player to spend £100,000+ on.

As regards to Ferrie Bodde, he has attracted a lot of interest (in Great Britain at least) and sounds like he'd be a good signing.

Duffy definitely sign. . Bodde is a mid-fielder - defensive/playmakes/goal scorer?

really hope he does not sign for you but his chances at our place are (wrongly) limited ... think our club will live to regret it if he does go to you but you will have one hell of a player there thats for sure !

Great if we get Duffy he's done so well for us as I think without his goal we would not have had a full house on the last game of the season, giving us a bumper crowd he's practically paid for himself.

He a playmaker i hear.

a playmaker, the type of player martinez will be looking for i expect seeing as he was one himself. bodde has played at the top level in holland so he must be decent, i think he could be a decent signing, cant be any worse than craney or oleary anyway.
