Ferrie Bodde Will Cost £70,000

Aberdeen have ruled out a move for Ferrie Bodde after failing to meet Den Haag's £70,000 asking price.

Swansea City have shown an interest in the midfielder, who wants to leave the Hague after the club's relegation from the top division, despite having 2 years remaining on his contract.

Ferrie expressed an interest in joining the Scottish Premier League side but the player's agent confirmed they couldn't meet the asking price.

That could pave the way for Bodde to join the Swans, his agent, Frank Schouten said:

'The clubs have stopped negotiating because Aberdeen have said they cannot afford to pay any money for him.

'Ferrie is disappointed nothing is going to happen with Aberdeen now, but that is life. The situation is for the two clubs to resolve, but as far as I am concerned, the deal is now off.

'There are a lot of other clubs interested in Ferrie and I do not know where he will end up instead.

'But Swansea are very keen and he might end up going there later this week.'

We have played pre-season games against Den Hagg (Summer 2004? Dutch Tour). So he should know something about us if we do try and recruit him.

I dont know nothing about him to be fair, but for only £70k go and get him, it's less than what we paid for Abbott!!!! But if he's made a good inpact in Holland why is he not attracting the big dutch sides.

he could well prove to be a bargain if we sign him, unlike other players that jackett stupidly signed in a hurry when he was desperate.
